Jealous
I have on occasion been mildly critical of the moral choices of the richest man in the world. In response to this I have been told more than once that my opinions don't count, because I am "just jealous".
To this accusation I can only say: yes. Guilty as charged. I am jealous of people who have so much money that the concept loses all meaning to them.
Money doesn't solve everything, these people tell me. Which, again, is true. But I can think of some major issues that could be solved immediately if I had the money to do so. I personally know at least two people who could really use a house to live in, for instance. Some money would certainly alleviate the constant stress of knowing that I am perpetually a few months' unemployment away from financial ruin, and worrying about how I am going to survive after retirement.
I think I'm allowed to feel a little jealousy towards people who don't have these worries.
Sadly, success in the pursuit of wealth is mostly available to the soulless, whose ranks I have no desire to join. You can tell a lot about the character of these billionaires by the fact that none of them currently seem to be taking guitar lessons from Tōno Kanami. She would probably say no, but that much money at least lets you ask.
